GOUVERNEUR MORRIS

Old Gouverneur Morris was quite a lad, but evidently his learned biographer disapproves of him, for he doesn't come to grips in this, which is an appraisal of Morris's character, rather than a narrative of events. The bibliography fills 19 pages, and for students of Revolutionary History in America and France is probably more valuable than the text of the book, which is frankly uninspired and hard reading.
