KIRKUS REVIEW

Here is the cult...the roughriders...the outlaw kings stroked on their Harley Davidsons, kissing emblems, high on speed and just this side of lawlessness. In this series of interviews, which seem pointless except perhaps from a sociologist's stance, they tell how it is, on the road, in clubs, racing. The Hell's Angels types also tell how they got that way and most interesting is an interview with one young wife and mother whose husband is one of the frolicsome Freewheelin' Franks. From the accounts of such as ""cockroach,"" a ""Chicago outlaw"" currently employed as a policeman, to those of more wholesome riders like Frank Jenner, a racer, there is a lot of self-conscious up-tight talk revved up in four letter words. Super tough, not super smart.
