A projection of the for worse which may follow the broken marriage, this is an admonitory analysis of the world of divorce, based on a survey of Reno-vated lives and on the premise that many marriages could have been and should have been saved. Here are the postdivorce patterns most commonly experienced; the loneliness, defeat, frustration which many undergo; the problem of sex both in marriage and outside of it; money- the source of most squabbling; children, the most important consideration; the jealousy, regret and recriminations to which many are prone; and the recommendations for the revision of our divorce laws (and the violations they encourage) and the establishment for some sort of court advisory system which may often save the marriage which is to be dissolved.... The many case histories here, on which the evidence is established, give this a clinical-confessional fascination, as well as the fellowship of mutual experience, for an audience involved in this problem.
