EDITH AND MR. BEAR

Here is that favorite inanimate object, Edith the ""lonely doll,"" as she learns still another lesson when climbing a staircase of books to see Mr. Bear's pendulum clock. She takes a tumble, and so does the clock, but she doesn't dare admit the truth to Mr. Bear. Her behavior goes from bad to worse, and finally she runs away to come home finally and confess. The photographs by the author are just as graphic as the small moral and this almost living doll has a retinue of young admirers.
