LOOK AT A CALF

Wright's amiable if somewhat monotonous photo album begins with a mother cow licking her newborn calf, then goes on to show the calf nursing from its mother, drinking from a bucket and grazing in a field. There is also a picture of a bull and several of cows in various poses, including some that demonstrate hand and machine milking procedures. The accompanying text provides an adequately informative first look at cows (their growth, diet, breeds and peculiar digestive process) and dairy farms.
