KIRKUS REVIEW

Greenberg wrote the practical and successful, So You're Going to Buy a Farm. This handles the project of breeding, raising and selling game birds in as down-to-earth a manner, and provides a handbook for those who would make this either a major or a side issue to a rural way of life. He suggests that beginners start with domestic poultry, as involving less investment. He then goes on to the selection of stock, artificial incubation, artificial brooding, hatching, rearing, nutrition and feeding, methods of preventing flight, predator control. The last part of the book takes up specific types of game birds, -- pleasant, quail, partridges, wild turkeys, aquatic game.
