THE ALIAS MAN

In this projected Britain of the early '70's, The Alias Man is the intelligence agent who has assumed your identity through the Central Register. Roy Rickman, rather an innocuous non-entity with a depressing love life, finds himself enmeshed in the ""politics of war"" after the corpse of alias Rickman is discovered. He becomes an operative of M. P. Haynes who is investigating the possible, infiltration of Intelligence and specifically one Howells, sabotaging the secret anti-missile projects European states are developing prior to U.S. commitment withdrawal. Fastidiously and very competently written right up to the last, alias, surprise (read debacle!).
