KIRKUS REVIEW

A pulltzer prize winner prosents his secod book, this tiem dealing with medioine today. He starts with the ductless glands, explaining their functions, treatment of abnormallties and inadequacies, history of research. Next -- digestion, with many ramifloations. Then on to disease, the ""seven horsemen of death"", etc. Quite elementary though adequate as introduction for anyone who has read little or nothing on the subject. But the general impression woudl seem talking down to the average intelligent reader.
