THE LONG ESCAPE

The pursuit, by private operative Al Colby, of the five-year old, thin-air disappearance of Robert R. Parker, who left a wife and considerable property behind him in California. Covering a lot of landscape, Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Colby finally contacts a brother who claims that Robert is dead but counters any attempt to the evidence, is attracted but not distracted by his daughter, precipitates a suicide to secure his proof. Romps right along.
