UNDERWATER ADVENTURE

The world of the briny with its heroic male explorers sets the stage for a group of science fiction stories that range in subject from skin diving to underwater archaeology. This is strictly fiction generously tinged with melodrama as boys go after sharks, wrestle with eels, capture whales, dive for skeletons, participate in skin diving contests and go down in the seas of 1985. With all of the amazing accounts of real underwater adventure available on the juvenile market we would recommend this only as light supplementary reading. Some of the contributors are William Stephens, Newton Rhodes, John Scott Douglas and D. S. Halacy.
