Smooth adventure-plus tale of Denis Furlong's search for the truth of Lt. La disappearance in Normandy, and the whereabouts of important French Resistance secret uments. Clues are few in America, his contacts in Paris disappear, but the trail finall leads to La Flam, once Resistance heroine, now wanted for treason. Furlong's belief La Flamme's honesty and her help to him in his search, lead them to the answer to the questions, but endanger their lives. Former underground companions save them, and returns to the U.S. with the secret key list of future Nazi trouble makers. Bolst actual events of the Normandy invasion and a retracing of the terrain and movements, is a grade above the usual ""confidential mission"" yarn.
