A MATTER OF IODINE

Novelty in buildup and byways, more adventure and puzzlement than straight crime. There's no body, no fireworks, but some odd bypaths in the story of a crippled American, who rouses himself to go to Paris to investigate the defective iodine shipments his brothers-in-law have been receiving. There's blackmail -- and munitions racket involvement, but Weaver runs down the clues and the blackmailer is killed.
