ONCE IN MY SADDLE by David Lamson

ONCE IN MY SADDLE

By

Publisher: Scribner

In this episodic story of the relations of a boy and his father, a farmer of newly opened lands in alberta, one feels something of the appeal of Life with Father and even more closely, of The Country Kitchen. Three quarters of the book give a delightful, humorous and original picture of this unfamiliar frontier life. It has a quality of autobiography, but so far as I know, is straight fiction. The last quarter of the book contains several stories stemming from other sources, other background, stories well-rounded, well-told. I found this a vigorous, virile book, good entertainment.
