LOW ON THE WAR: Cartoon Commentary 1939-1941

The best of British cartoonists, and one of the foremost political cartoonists of our times. Humor, satire, understanding. In this chronological sequence with running commentary one gets the pattern of events and of England's reaction to them. The introductory section is a masterly presentation of the whole philosophy of the cartoon. The New York Times has published some of his work, so it is not unfamiliar to American readers and this should widen his public to embrace all comers.
