LONDON: The Dog Who Made the Team

Report repeated from the September 1st bulletin, when scheduled for fall publication, as follows: ""During the period when the former Chicago White Sox pitcher Chuck Eisenmann recovered from an arm injury, he acquired a German Shepherd puppy and established a highly developed rapport with him- the dog was extraordinarily intelligent. Returning to the minor, Chuck took London with him, had a clause in his contract permitting the dog to travels with the team (i.e. the title) and there are some scrappy anecdotes of London's performance on the field (he caused a rhubarb; he could run the bases) before he went on to television and films... unfortunately to a book too- or rather a non-book.
