MR. BENN-RED KNIGHT by David McKee

MR. BENN-RED KNIGHT

Pub Date: Oct. 28th, 1968

Trying on the red armor means trying out the role of knight for Mr. Benn, who measures up: he arranges a reconciliation between the dragon replaced by a maker of matches and his employer-protector the king--who decides that his subjects should have the convenience of matches but he is entitled to ""something a little different."" The story within is stale and forced, the motion of assuming a new identity hardly novel and in this case triggered by expediency--Mr. Benn needs a costume for a party. Only the full-color cartoons are freshly imagined.
