THE MAGICIAN AND THE PETNAPPING

In the negligible Magician and the Sorcerer (1974), Melric the king's magician was threatened with replacement by evil Sondrak who promised the king more power; in this even flimsier rerun, Sondrak's promise is the return of the kingdom's missing pets. Melric foils the plot when, discovering that Sondrak is the petnapper, he enlists the pets in a scheme of his own: the animals clamor so to stay with Sondrak that he releases them to get some peace. But after so pedestrian a performance, both contestants should retire.
