IN THE SUMMER I GO FISHING

You might know, from the fat-lipped, plug-ugly face of the fish and the cat bouncing out of the boat, that this would soon go haywire. . . and it does: after the boy's mother refuses to cook the fish (""'cause I won't eat it"") and the ice cream man (""I like ice cream instead"") wants only money, the boy goes into the lemonade business with a Nice Old Lady witch and they turn Banker Biddle into a pig, Plumber Puddle into a frog and Mother into a purple cow. . . whom Father forgets to kiss when he comes home (ready to go fishing). The fish might be from The Gillygoofang and what follows is even more gross: indeed, if a George Mendoza could draw, this is what it might look like. Wretched.
