KIRKUS REVIEW

A re-issue of David Stephen's graphic and poetic life cycle of a fox, that supreme individualist, which first appeared in 1952 for an audience of all ages. The Scottish burr (""That beast'll no dee bose"") may prove to be something of a haidge for younger readers but there is a partial glossary of terms. The story per se has an unrelenting momentum and the line drawings by Nina Scott Langley are exceptional.
