LOVE ME IN DEATH

Mild Mr. Pennyfeather conducts a self-contained crime chase in the possible double murder, or murder-suicide of Evelyn Maxon and her lover, Pete Burnell. The fixation of a father on his daughter, the blind rages of an abandoned husband, the withheld information of a landlady, a question of money, a script, and a puzzling pair of pants provide the suspects and motives for a solution which is pat. Agreeable.
