Introducing Mr. Pennyfeather, year old Professor of Chaucer, who comes to the aid of his young student, rich Tick Burrell who is having fiances trouble -- in fact, three of them. Taffy, playgirl, , debutants, and Carolyn, Wac, all converge on Tick in the little California town where he is now stationed by Uncle Sam.
