CONSTRUCTING THE MOUNTAIN DULCIMER

A ""comprehensive workbook. . . meant for beginners as well as for skilled woodworkers."" Nevertheless this complete, professional looking guide is not for the dabbler with a few spare Sunday afternoons. Kimball's blueprints are for authentic, full-size dulcimers. . . and unless one has a professionally equipped workshop it will be necessary, not just to use a bending iron, but to build one's own. Kimball has taught dulcimer instruction at Antioch College and his instructions seem to anticipate every inevitable question and mishap. The serious enthusiast couldn't ask for a better teacher or a more inviting format.
