ODDKINS: A Fable for All Ages

Despite the hopeful subtitle, most adults will probably have a hard time sinking into the kiddie-level (if rather violent) text by best-selling horror author Koontz (Watchers, Lightning, etc.) about the Oddkins--animate toys--and their perilous journey to find a new toy-maker after their beloved Mr. Isaac Bodkins dies. Those able to peel back their mental years, however, will find this novelty project engrossing--especially the extraordinarily energetic, swirling, full-color illustrations by Phil Parks.
