SHOWDOWN AT LITTLE BIG HORN

In a brief note at the beginning are the words, ""For dramatic effect, considerable dialogue is introduced. Wherever possible, the words used are those recorded by witnesses or participants."" This is an originally organized account of Custer's Last Stand in 1876. The book progresses slowly through time up to the actual battle by presenting action-accounts of the various members of Custer's regiment and of the important Indians involved. The descriptions are authentic and realistic; historically -- except for some of the dialogue -- all seems well-documented. Boys will doubtless enjoy the on-the-scene-reports.
