Appealing animal-shaped board books with front and back covers of fleecy acrylic fabric, which seems firmly bonded to the boards and should endure many handlings. The close-packed pile may even permit surface cleaning with a damp cloth. Interior board pages have a glossy surface tolerant of sticky fingers. Within each animal outline, baby animals, depicted in a popular, decorative style, cavort, eat, and sleep ha a warm heap. The text is brief and not particularly revealing: ""Bunnies like to run and hop. . .and jump and slide down rabbit holes."" But young children will be delighted by the cuddly feel and by the bright, smiling baby animals.
