RABBIT COUNTRY

...doesn't have a patch on this team's last--The Royal Hiccups. Visually, it promises amusement with its lop-eared, bung-toothed bunny cartoons. Then, the text comes thumping along, freighted with significance where the ridiculous is called for. The king rabbit loses his crown (his only distinguishing feature) and he goes back to being just one of the bunnies, without all the cares of state and leadership. It's caught in limbo between a nonsense romp and a sermon about pomp.
