Sequel to The Scarlet Imposter, continuing the adventures of Gregory Sallust, intelligence officer, and Erica, lovely anti-Nazi German refugee. This time the mysterious Black Baroness is organizing German girls as Hitler's secret weapon, to bring about the weakening of the authorities in successive countries -- Norway, Holland, Belgium. Sallust has hairbreadth escapes, but serves his country well, and the story, barring some overwriting, is good entertainment.
