English light fiction -- i.e. a little more substance in theme and setting, minus zip and credibility. The story of the Wynstables:- Oliver, the father, a quiet, unassuming clerk in a real estate office whose kingdom is his home; two sons, two daughters, rebelling at the family circle, their jobs and their loves, all tending to break the chord -- finally the emergence of a life-long secret of Oliver's real position in the firm, and the reason for his pretense.
