ALLIGATOR'S TOOTHACHE

The hanging balloons indicate that it's Alligator's birthday, but a surfeit of frosting before the party hits her with a toothache just as Monkey, Pig, and other guests show up with more goodies. Someone calls the dentist (a badger) and there is much business with a frightened Alligator hiding under the sofa, then slamming the door in Badger's face, etc. Then Monkey and Flamingo smuggle the dentist to the sickbed on a covered platter, the tooth is pulled, and the party proceeds. The animals' clearly communicative expressions and gestures tell the story without words; it's a small joke, but an applicable one.
