KIRKUS REVIEW

In the exciting language of a sports' columnist, the author narrates the action-packed story of Chris Blades, an all-Pro. When a new man is hired to coach the Prospectors, Chris is thoughtlessly traded to the Rangers. His vanity damaged, Chris decides to quit playing proball, and to devote all his time to finishing law school. However, in July, the beginning of training season, Chris finds himself working out with the Rangers, unable to resist the lure of the sport. Mr. Friendlich has used the writing techniques of the reporter to great advantage in this novel which the growing number of young pro-football enthusiasts should enjoy reading.
