You see, I went to sleep and... I dreamed I was writing a book about dreaming... or rather my friend Mike had a mike next to me because I talk in may sleep.... and this book contained all of my dreamtalk... and though I value my privacy I let Bernard Geis publish the book because Decca records is issuing a number of the tapes Mike recorded of me... and what I want to say is that it was a fabulous book, full of wonderful ironies you could only get from allowing your mind to associate the most incongruous subjects like as if Faulkner had written comic strips the way Mickey the Winner did and as if Mickey were over in Sweden picking up the Prize... like we should all bring camping stools to the subway... bedlam! and only half as many people could use the subway... umbrella? I won't carry one when it rains, no that's too ordinary.... too ordinary... so I was dreaming of this big FABULOUS book because TOMORROW THE WORLD WILL KILL ITSELF... It's an ugly joke but it's true.... But it was a big FABULOUS book and it had all my dreams in it and I was the king of ink... (Fantastica for a novelty market.)
