FAVORITE STORIES OF FAMOUS CHILDREN

Good merchandise, but not a really sound piece of editing. The age appeal is split, so that it is hard to know where to place this. Dixie Willson has interviewed famous children of the screen, the stage, of music, of the dance, sons and daughters of famous people, and so on, and from each one has learned what is his or her favorite story. The range of interest is wide; some of the stories are stories that have been told the children, some are stories they have read, or had read to them. In some instances a chapter from a longer book is given; in others there is a ""brief"" of a book and a specific incident selected. The brief biographical notes place the children and indicate why each child chooses the story included. Stories range from a Bible story (selected by Shirley Temple) to anecdotes from autobiography, history, etc.
