KIRKUS REVIEW

Under the guardianship of his eternally youthful grandmother, a gadabout actress, David Demarest at 12 is the product of boarding school and his grandmother's summer stok locations. A busy, theatrical resort background is well drawn, but David's summer sck in include the sudden appearance of his drug addict mother and her violent death. David's acceptance of all this, without drama or trauma, does not ring quite true. The book, however, has the appeal of theater mystery.
