A very good story with an unexciting title -- which might almost be classed as non-fiction in the authenticity of the detail of the activities of a 16-year old boy on his father's plantation in the Belgian Congo and his brief service as elephant hunter for the Congo government. Bush safaris, dangerous encounters with wild animals, the suspense of threat of death at hands of a medicine man balance off lack of integrated plot and slight characterization for an intriguing reportial job.
