KIRKUS REVIEW

Presumably from a midwestern paper, these loose, lippy columns cover various aspects of office and home life, and also put some of the price tags on a packaged, publicized, commercialized culture. Take for instance- Mother's Day, buying women's stockings, lunch time drinking, toy catalogues, the stiletto heel- or cosmetics, etc., etc. And take a few of the chapter headings which will give you an idea of the crumpled business man humor, ""Keep talking, Blabbermouth"", ""Love, Schmove! So long as you're healthy!"", ""Let me tweak your antennae, Kiddo!""... Well, kiddo, Daddy should be doing something else.
