KIRKUS REVIEW

A story -- and a story about a colored boy who was so wrapped up in his two pet (or the ones he thought of as his) that he risked the wrath of his own family and of his white ""boss"" when he tangled in their affairs. There was Bill, ""stolen"" after a possum hunt and taken from the threat of death; there was Fussy, born in captivity, but taking readily to wild life, given a chance. A good nature story, written out of sound understanding of boys and wild life.
