SECOND TRY

A lacrosse story pictures Buzz Hart's ""second try"" and the solution of the problems he faces as a student in a small college after his suspension from the state university. At Herndon College near Baltimore, Buzz looks back on a past as a football star for whom the small ""cow college"", Herndon, has less than no appeal, but the students and teachers he meets, and at first misjudges, persuade him to try out for lacrosse and though the book ends on a note of loss- the gain is in Buzz's character. Average sports fare, with the lacrosse angle, this may cater to special tastes.
