LANGFORD'S LUCK

Donal Haines has contributed a number of first rate books to the shelves of school stories. Now, in this, his appeal is somewhat more mature, for young Langford is of college graduate age, and enters the Army Air Corps Training School, graduates (after some gruelling experiences) and goes into an airplane factory as test pilot, after his two years in the service. The climax of the story comes when Langford makes good on the experiment in which his grandfather had failed, back in 1903. A first rate story for older boys and men, the training school section is particularly good.
