An entertaining idea, with an amusing picture of English radio and red tape as a background, for the story of Ernest Bisham, popular radio announcer whose avocation and compensation is cat burglary. As announcer he meets many who own famous gems -- and his fame and charm provide him with necessary information to acquire those jewels. Realizing that because of his position he must soon forego his secret pleasure, he takes three last challenges which bring the police on his trail, end his hidden career, but do not ruin his public career -- and which, though never disclosed to his wife, cement his marriage. Author of Mr. Bowling Buys A Newspaper, again combines a psychopathic study with effective bare and hounds adventure.
