That ten year-old detective is still amazing Idaville ("His pals swore that if he went to sleep before thinking out a problem, he stuck a bookmark in his mouth"), his rival Bugs Meany is shifty as ever ("only last week Bugs had dipped seven sparrows in peroxide and tried to sell them as canaries"), and Encyclopedia's assistant Sally —well, Sally is now a full-fledged partner who takes a case of her own and solves it by both outwitting and outjabbing a male karate school grad. Which if anything should only expand the unreluctant readership of Sobol's ten-at-a-time exercises in rapid Crime detection.
