An uninspired and rather stodgy biography of the indefatigable artist, sculptor, architect, poet. Not a book that breathes life into the man, nor that recaptures the spirit of the times in which he lived. Adequate factual material, for shelf reference in public libraries or school art shelves, but not a book likely to entice the average reader, even one interested in art.
