LITTLE DUTCH TOYLAND

A familiar poem included in numer anthologies here dressed out with gay pictures showing Holland as a quaint, shining little land of windmills and lace caps and dog carts and tulips and wooden shoes. Somehow it seems singularly inept at this moment -- even for children of an age where devastation of war is unknown. Straight merchandise appeal -- a must not for schools or libraries where children should start right even at picture book level. Pretty pretty and saleable.
