What happens to things that blow away,/ Like the bubbles you blew one sunny day?/ Where did they all go anyway?/ To the Attic of the Wind!"" The ""Attic of the Wind"" is the mincing, coy answer given to the questions of where things that disappear outside (autumn leaves, snow flakes, butterflies, balloons) or are mislaid go. It sounds like a sort of astral compost heap, but the illustrator has visualized it in expanses of mottled, chichi colors like pink, lavender, turquoise, chartreuse, with the outlines of transparent, romping children inked in on top. The verses have a pleasant bounce for children who want to listen for sound more than sense.
