A comfortable sort of story, in a simple tale of near horizons and well-earned happiness, as John Chester, crippled and orphaned when a child, finds haven, home and love with his aunt and uncle and their twin sons, who are constantly mutually competitive. John sticks with his uncle's business, loving it and the town, and Lindsey, a girl who is all he dreamed of. One of the twins almost wrecks his chances of happiness, but things straighten out, and John is given his chance and the future he wants.
