PRESCRIPTION: Murder by Doris Miles Disney

The marriage of Dr. Alice Townes to Clifford, the son-in-law of wealthy Mrs. Burnham whom she had attended- but failed to save, does not still her doubts of Clifford-or her conscience in the unexpected decease. As time goes on, the past troubles her; the loss of a syringe; the death of a calico cat; the presence of Jewel- whom Clifford knows-too well; and as her love for Clifford graduates to distrust and disgust, she secures the finite evidence... Femininely fallible but believable.
