British backdrop for the story of three fliers, -- George, a Pole, Paul, a Frenchman, and Gothin, American, who temporarily invalided out of active service, take a small house together in an English hamlet where Gothin can be near the girl he loves, Jane, a nurse. Paul, moody, talented, evasive, troublemake a first be quarrels with George, than moves in on Gothin's girl.
