KIRKUS REVIEW

Light weight story of a young girl who is sent to India, supposedly to marry a wealthy planter, many years her senior. She falls in love with the wrong man, is left to follow her own whims when her mother dies, and goes in disguise, secretly married, with the youth as a fellow worker on a plantation. There she meets the originally designated suitor, finds how far astray her desires have led her, and Fate adjusts all the bits and pieces into their proper place. Far-fetched. Rental fodder.
