UNDERSTOOD BETSY: A Play

Excellent for practical use -- an ideal play for a large group of children who want to have a play about things they understand. The reading between scenes plan makes the connecting links plain, and passes the time during scene shifting. The adaptation by Sarah N. Cleghorn is extremely well done. Takes 30 children, with only about three really important parts involving much rehearsal.
