DESIGN FOR ANN

The situation in which 16-year old Ann finds herself is a common one. She can't make the grade with dates and boys; she's a wallflower at dances. But- she has a talent for designing and through the success it brings her, she finds her way to confidence and the social success she longs for. The locale is Chicago- with a brief interlude in a dream visit to New York that changes her whole outlook. Her designs for teen age clothes are taken by a New York magazine. Stimulated by adult appreciation and the fact of earning her own money, she loses her old insecurity and finds a new identity. Good pointers here on parent-teen-age relationship, and advice- indirect to be sure- on the ever popular and fascinating subject of how to get along with boys. Girls will like it- and if they are smart, they'll learn a lot.
