What happens when the city and the country come to each other across a bridge is nicely penned and pictured by the author for communications-conscious children. Taking typical examples of trade and transportation, there are the farmers who deliver their produce by truck to city markets, a little boy who visits the country for a day, a little girl who goes to town for shopping, the city services that come to the country, and so forth. Grey and yellow water colors of constructions and conveyances are good working models for the text.
